Whether you're looking for information on STI prevention, contraception, or healthy relationships, there are many resources available in New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island to support sexual health.
Horizon Sexual Health Clinics - Has information on clinics offering confidential and non-judgmental sexual health services, including STI testing and treatment, contraception counselling, and education.
AIDS New Brunswick - AIDS New Brunswick is a community-based organization that provides support and advocacy for people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS in New Brunswick. Ensemble - Ensemble is a Moncton-based organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for persons infected and affected by HIV/AIDS and help reduce the spread of HIV and other STIs, through education and prevention programs. They offer a range of services, including testing, prevention education, and support for those living with these conditions. Avenue B - Serving the Saint John area, Avenue B is a non-profit organization that aims to improve the quality of life for those affected by HIV/AIDS. In addition to the organization’s goal of reducing the stigma associated with HIV, the organization strives to reduce the spread of HIV through prevention education and public awareness. Sexual Health Program GNB - A program run by the New Brunswick Department of Health aimed at improving the sexual health of the targeted clientele in New Brunswick. The program offers services aimed at reducing unintended pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections. These services include sexual health promotion activities and counseling and clinical services offered in sexual health centers and in the community. The program also provides information and resources on sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections through a helpline. Sexual Health Services PEI - Government service that offers safe, confidential and supportive sexual health services to Islanders of all genders, orientations and ages at various sites across PEI. Services include sexual health education and counseling, sexually transmitted infection screening and treatment, birth control counseling and prescriptions, PrEP and PEP, pregnancy counseling, testing and support, and abortion services. After-hours clinics are also available for STI and BBI testing. No referral is required, and patients need to provide photo identification and a valid PEI Health Card. UPEI Health Centre - For UPEI students only. UPEI’s Health Centre offers sexual health testing (STI testing and Pap screens) by appointment only. Contact the health centre by emailing them, calling 902-566-0616 or in-person at the W. P. Murphy Centre (on UPEI campus). Holland College Women's Wellness Program & Sexual Health Services - For Holland College students only. Holland College has a nurse practitioner that will be available for walk-ins every Wednesday (8:30-11:30am and 1:00-3:00pm). STI testing, pelvic exams, pap screening, and referrals are available. Vitalite Health Network - Provides resources and services related to promoting and improving sexual health, reducing the number of sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections, and preventing unwanted teen pregnancies. They work to promote healthy sexual behaviours and raise awareness on reducing risky sexual behaviours. They also promote access to screening and treatment for sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections. |
